When I came to FeedBurner they had just redesigned their website and their blog was still in their old style. Not only did it not extend their branding, but it also was growing out of its template. It wasn't expandable and wouldn't accommodate a few more years of posts.
I redesigned the the FeedBurner blog to match FeedBurner's brand and to also make sure that the layout was expandable and had a future. I also included related content from the website on the left. FeedBurner is known to have a fun culture, so we tried to include some fun thing on the right-hand bar. This design started out as a sketch.
Next I used Movable Type, Photoshop, HTML, and CSS to produce the blog.
In the end we have a design that matches our site and other collateral, that pulls in data from Movable Type not just for the blog, but for left-hand content too, and can be updated by any of our approved blog authors.
